Hi people,
Here is few shots of animation I did just for fun and testing Octane. I am the owner of license from the early days of Octane, but never had chance to use it that much. After all that time, and release of v3 I decided to test it much more as the gallery of Octane is probably the best around and I am founding that it is very fun to work and play with Octane.
Best,
Doca

one of the best renders I've ever seen! I do wonder if any motion blur should be happening on the tires though? I know they'd be using a super high shutter speed to freeze the action sharply but I wonder if it's possible to get a high enough shutter speed under daylight to perfectly freeze the tires. Maybe it is? Although, even with the tires frozen, like you have it, I don't think it looks incorrect or fake!

Also, if it were my render, i'd get rid of that star burst on the highlight of the front wing thingy. Turn up the blur so it's just a glowing over bright highlight. I really think Octane's post effects for stuff like this sucks (sorry otoy) but hopefully the improvements in the imgur in v3 improve this aspect!

Thank you all for the kind words!

About motion blur, I am sure that you are right about it. It is not that high framerate to freeze image, but it was about decision. I liked how Octane reders it, so I decided to further enhance by reducing motion blur (to about 2%).

Very cool! What distracts me a little bit is the bump on the Tires... But why not D.Vader as driver? :D

Hahahah, D.Vader would take everybodys attention at the first moment. Stormtrooper is somehow eye catch for those people that look carefully. :)
