Network rendering starting slowly.

Some problems again with my network render!

When i render and look at the status the slaves kick in just the last seconds of the render. So if the frame takes 70 seconds to render the slaves kicks in just around 65 seconds which then almost makes the 4 extra GPUs useless! Screenshot http://d.pr/i/13hUy

Although when I have render smaller scenes the first frames usually takes a while to find the slaves but as fast as it turns to the second one they are there straight away.

Can this have anything to do with the size of the scene or so?

what plugin version, v2 or v3?

Haven't got the time to upgrade to 3 yet so currently on 2.25 for both my computer and the slaves. Here are the kernel settings

In v3 there are some kernel settings that could slow down the net render, but in v2 there are not
What kind of network connection you have with the slaves?

Right now I have all CAT6 cables so the speed should not really be a problem. Wierd thing is that when I'm on other scenes at frame 2 the slaves are starting almost directly.

I have made some empirical measurament tests of my net speed and ~700mb cannot take more than 4/5 seconds in both v2 and v3 here, with normal Gigabit Ethernet and normal cables
Do you see any difference if you enable only one slave at a time?
Could you follow this steps and send back the log?
