So I am trying to animate a regular plane as water, by having a animated bump map loop. It works just fine in the normal C4D renderer but I can't get it to work with octane the way I want to.

I do however get it to work by using "Resend all scene data" in the Geometry engine. That is not a setting I would like to use since I also have a heavy displacement map in this scene and it would take forever to render.

As I have understood by reading up on this, Using "Resend only updated Objects" and in Geometry control; checking "Manual Assignment" should solve the problem by sticking an object tag to my plane, but it does not...

Any ideas smart people of the internet? :D

Please post some details about your setup. At least your material in a scene.

Think I solved it by animating the cycles parameter in the bump.

Just changing "animation speed", etc.. parameters in a noise not enough. Plugin is built as an state-machine and checks for update messages. I case it will never get and update message. Your solution is correct.
