Hello,

I had two questions. I jumped right away on securing the nice pricing of upgrading my standalone and plugin. I've downloaded the standalone and noticed there isn't a download for Maya V3 yet.

1. When is the V3 Maya going to be released (do you know yet)?
2. Should I wait to install the standalone V3 until I get to start using the V3 plugin?

Thanks for your time in answering

This is up to you. If you buy maya plugin upgrade you will get the upgrade later.
No ETA set as I know of.

I guess we'll have, either a release or a road-map update, before the end of the month.

I use the standalone V3 and the plugin here, I have no problem so far,
but be careful it won't work for network rendering you still have to use the V2 license,
so you may have to deactivate the V3 license, this is done from inside standalone now (no more online).

Hi, I have doubts too. Currently I have c4d + standalone V2

I would like to use octane on maya but the current/past releases are a mess. Im still waiting for the new reboot version.

Any news on this? Its a bit frightening to buy something thats only a promise..

Well anyway the first V3 maya plugin release won't be a stable bug free perfectly integrated release.

And there is no rush to buy the V3 license now, standalone V3 is exactly the same as V3 beta4 and will work at least since end of the month without license.

ORC is still not up, and most of the other V3 plugin are still not compatible with the license ...

But , the updates are so cheap, I couldn't resist, I already updated all my licences to V3.

I would not worry about the v3 functions just yet. We haven't even gotten v2 functions properly implemented in Maya, such as hair/xgen.
But yes, if you have shitload of octane licenses, this is the time to do it. I rather pay 75$ for slow development than 300$ for slow development.
