Hi all,
As some might have noticed, we have delayed the release of the final 3.00 by a week, because with the new authentication system and other late changes we figured that it would be better to get some more feedback and fix some more bugs.
We plan to release 3.00 beta 3 in the middle of this week and if there are any more important issues a last one on Friday. The release of the final 3.00 is planned for Monday the 23rd of May (all times in NZ time). For now, things look pretty good and we are working only a couple of issues.
The 3.00 alpha and beta versions (see viewforum.php?f=33) will continue to work until end of May and after that can not be used anymore. We try to allow you to continue using your v2 license with the 3.00 alpha/beta versions until end of May, too, but we are not sure yet if we can modify the license server to do that. We will let you know as soon as we've got a definite answer.
Happy rendering,
Your OTOY NZ Team

we didn't 'notice' you just didn't deliver.
Honestly you all need to stop putting dates on on releases. Or at least, not wait until a day after 'release' to say 'we didnt make our release, we are off by a week'
where is the pricing info? upgrade plan? plugin cost?
seriously

Yes, you are probably right. Apologies for that.xcaseyx wrote:we didn't 'notice' you just didn't deliver.

thanks, could you at least get a tweet out, a blog post? something that isn't just forum exclusive?
the fact that you're only now saying that we may not even be able to use 2.X licenses going forward is completely sophomoric. This is bush league. I'm not mad that ORC or 3.0 isn't available, I'm upset as an investor and customer that the delivery of 3.0 has been handled similarly to a first time kickstarter campaign.

Sorry, I don't understand you. Sure you can use your v2 licenses with 2.xx versions, just not with the 3.00 alpha / beta versions after 3.00 is out, which has been stated from the first 3.00 alpha version on (see "Alpha and beta version disclaimer" in viewtopic.php?f=33&t=51681).xcaseyx wrote:thanks, could you at least get a tweet out, a blog post? something that isn't just forum exclusive?

We try to allow the v2 licenses to be used with 3.00 alpha / beta version until end of May, but with alpha 10 we switched to a new licensing system, which is a bit more complicated to administrate, so we can't commit to that yet.

I clarified the opening post.xcaseyx wrote:oh, good god. I read that as if you're suspending 2.X licenses and forcing the upgrade. whew. that was scary.
