So, Copy/Paste seems not to be working and is disabled in most places.
What is the most economic way to transfer material settings now from, let's say, torso to arms or leg?
Can I build me a template, load it and replace with the current textures?
Will there be something ingenious like the "Copy/Paste an retain existing textures" in the future, like in the Poser plugin?

At least half of the fun in Octane is playing with and assembling material settings, well, for me at least.
But with the DAZ plugin it's rather arduous, unless I'm missing something substantial...?

If you open the Node Graph Editor, or click on an Image node, then you can tick the TEMPLATING checkbox - which I believe does a similar thing to the Poser "Paste Retaining Texturemaps" function. However I haven't used it, and it's not covered in the manual - so you will need to do some experimenting.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a try.
There seem to be a lot of various functions that not always work in a consistent or expected way and they leave me a little confused.

The whole thing seems a tiny bit over-engineered.... :D

I agree - too many things to learn, and too many things to break. I have been trying to remove unused or broken functions (which is why the Paste functions have been removed in certain situations, because they would result in a crash).

Templating is very useful though, once you get the hang of it. It lets you chose which DAZ image channel to grab for your Octane mats, and then applies the material around that.
