The camera imager setting are not all working. Highlight compression, gamma, saturation and response curves all have no effect on the image. This is with or without 3ds Max gamma hack checkbox checked.

You need to give more info. Detailed description how to reproduce, perhaps the scene attached, perhaps some screenshots...
It works absolutely OK on my site.

Jim, not sure what the problem is then. I have a new install of 3ds max 2017. The newest release of Octane alpha 3.4. the latest NVidia driver version 365.10 and an update version of Windows 10.

Everything else in the Octane plugin seems to be acting normal as compared to older versions, except the camera imager settings. As I mentioned highlight compr., gamma, saturation and the response curves have no effect on the scene no matter what I try. I have brought in old scenes, created a new scene with just a box. And Nothing, no response on those 4 buttons and everything else works correctly.

I tried changing kernels, and toggled on and off checkboxes, 3ds max gamma hack, alpha channel, alpha shadow, I have toggled them all and they all have no effect on making these work.

Also I just tested in 2016 to see if it was a max 2017 only thing and it is not. These 4 settings did not work in 2016 either with the alpha 3.4 plugin. Everything works fine in both 2016 and 2017 in older octane 2.** plugins

Not sure what to do?

You need to be sure you've read the documentation and all the explanations regarding 3ds Max gamma that were made previously on this forum...
If after that you are still getting the issue - as I said you need to post a detailed step-by-step description of how to reproduce.
Because there are no problems with this neither on my site, nor reported by others.

Jim - thanks for posting that video. We have not used the octane plugins beyond 2.23.2 -1.9 consistently because we were uncertain of the new materials and converting the old materials. We have now committed to making the switch.

Anyways I see you added a use tone mapping check box in the camera settings -this was my problem. I would have not found this easily without that video because I usually just insert a camera and then use the modifier stack to make the adjustments and this tone mapping check box is not in that modifier stack, but it still controls if it works or not on a camera. Anyways all is good now. Thank you and by the way we are really liking the new Octane!!!.
