Hi,

I have a question about multiple GPU’s in the same computer
I have one Asus GTX Titan 6gb and thinking of buying two more MSI gtx 980ti 6gb in the same computer; would they work together?

Asus Titan 6gb has the GK110 GPU
MSI GTX 980 TI 6gb has the GM200 GPU

Motherboard ASUS P9X79 PRO
OS: Windows 10

So, are those GPU’s compatible together?
I’am using Blender / Octane

You can mix & match any cards You wish =) as those two has 6GB each You would not loose any vram while rendering =) Just make sure You have enough PSU power to feed both of them =)

Just keep them separated enough by one slot distance on air to avoid overheating :)

Thank you smicha and Tomglimpse for the information.

Glimpse, I knew if someone did know the answer, it would be you :)

I have the Asus Titan in that computer and need two more cards that would be at the same level.

So, do you think Asus Titan 6gb and MSI 980ti 6gb would be good combination or is there a better combination? For the PSU I am thinking of buying the Corsair AX1200i PSU.

Maybe it’s an overkill to put three “radiators” in a small motherboard. Soon I will buy a new computer just for the Octane Rendering purpose and I hope I would get some advice from the hardware gurus :)

Glimpse, I have read your blog about GPU’s and rendering, good stuff.

I appreciate your advice.
