what was your highest polycount

Hello guys,

Pretty much what the title says.
Im currently doing some practise rendering with other peoples models.
And it is at a big 3.5 million polys :twisted:
But I'm pretty sure that is the standered for most of you professionals lol

So state:

~Number of polys
~Vram usage it took
~how many time it took to load it in to octane because it kept on crashing
~How long it took to load into octane [without crashing]

Scene A.
- 10,075,698 tris.
- 1915mb geometry only. max space Octane could use: 1928mb out of 2048.
- worked first time but I had been experimenting with mesh sizes before. ;)
- not sure but it seemed like a few minutes. took quite a while to actually start rendering once loaded too. next time I will time it for you. :ugeek:

Scene B.
- exactly 10m tris.
- 1725mb geometry only. not sure why the difference from above. :roll: ran the res size up to use about 1920mb vram.
- as above.
- as above.

Around 5.3 Million triangles for some of my desert images with Elisabeth character, the Land Rover, The airplane and several detailed props, and 1300 MB of VRAM used on my GTX 480 - 1.5GB

Not many textures, but mostly highly detailed geometry.
French Blender user - CPU : intel Quad QX9650 at 3GHz - 8GB of RAM - Windows 7 Pro 64 bits. Display GPU : GeForce GTX 480 (2 Samsung 2443BW-1920x1600 monitors). External GPUs : two EVGA GTX 580 3GB in a Cubix GPU-Xpander Pro 2. NVidia Driver : 368.22.

Got my highest polycount in my scissors-monsters competition entry:

1860 MB VRAM used for a 5000x2500 pixel render.
4.4 Million triangles
4 mins 50 secs for importing/voxelization.... ugh... that´s massive!
No crashes with 2.43 ....but don´t ask me about the older 2.35, that was baaaad- especially in multi-GPU-mode.

outstanding [your project] :shock: [for the speed] the most i have ever rendered was 3000x2000 or in those numbers
