Comes with two .obj exporters - you can switch between the two inside the Octane Exporter GUI.
  • "Lightwave HC OBJ Exporter" is Lightwave Layout internal obj writer only available in Lightwave HC (build 2013 or later)
  • "Octane OBJ Export" is written by me and windows only. For Lightwave 9 or later.
Please check the readme inside for more details and differences between the two.

!Please make sure you read both the offical manual on Plugin<->Octane workflow and the readme.txt inside this package before using this plugin.

If you have any issues please give me information what your export settings are and what you're exporting. You can reach me on skype 'walfridson' or at my mail if you want faster contact or sending me files.

If you have any requests let me know!

v0.4 Changes: Fixed flipped polys, fixed incorrect material name on .obj export

I'm just testing with the simple box scene I sent you. It still exports the box flipped.

EDIT: I have attached the scene along with the exported data so you can see it

Edit2: OK I just noticed you posted an update for the update ;) Ill try this newer one out

When I import objects and enable smoothing, the smoothing/vertex normals are wrong. This didnt happen in 0.3

I'm just guessing here... when you fixed the polygon flipping, you saved them in a new order and now the vertex normals need to be saved in the new order.

I went back to v0.3 to test and it works correct with smoothing, so this is a new bug in 0.4

If I use "normal" instead of "fast" all the vertices get messed up. This happened in 0.3 too, so I used fast instead which works almost perfectly

I tried testing with a simpler scene so "normal" export could export it. There is still the same issue when smoothing is enabled. Also note when smoothing is enabled on with emission, the emitter doesnt appear bright white even though light emits from it

I have included the scene as well as the exported files so you can view them
