Much more likely they'll pull the good bits of code out and water it down into a 'feature' of those products...

Like they did with T-Splines, et al.

Marcos is a really good guy - we've known him for a while. He's stopped by OTOY LA to catch up with us on rendering now and then in the past :)

OSL and other important rendering advancements exist because of his pioneering work. We wish him and the rest of SA all the best. I personally trust this will turn out to be a net positive for the whole industry.

BTW - Autodesk is our largest investor. They've been amazing in helping us embark on our ambitions for making GPU/cloud rendering a reality.

Too bad their software sucks big hairy donkey balls. Maya and 3DS Max need to die ASAP, like Softimage just did.
