Hello Octane Community!
I've just purchased two licenses and have no problem to get Octane running on both of my machines. However, they are not seeing each other over the network for rendering purposes.
Both machines run OS X 10.10.5 - all C4D and Octane versions are the same.
The licenses were purchased under the same username.
The machines can see each other over the network through the operating system - proven, as I can screen-share and send files back and forth.
Network Rendering is turned on for both C4D (both CPU and Octane plugin) and Octane Standalone.
Any ideas what I may be missing?
Thank you much!
[Solved] NETWORK Rendering - cannot see second computer

FIGURED IT OUT!
For anyone else who may have the same issue:
First, run the Daemon installer - default settings worked fine for me.
Second, in the Live Viewer, select OPTIONS > NETWORK RENDERING > ENABLE
That did the trick for me.
I do find it strange that Network Rendering Protocols are not included in the base installation, or at least clearer indications on how to set it up - the Daemon Installer does not visually appear like part of the install.
Also, outside of installing the Daemon, we also have to enable it in C4Ds settings [Octane Renderer], Octane's settings and finally in the Octane Live Viewer. Seems extraneous, but at least it works!
