I exported a Octane Cinema Scene to the Standalone via the Dialog File Export Settings.

Everything looks great shader and lighting wise... but no matter what I do I can not get a standard thin lens camera to zoom into an area of the scene that I need.

I am assuming I may not have some kind of scale set correctly in the export preferences... but when I scale the mesh using a placement node in the stand alone.. no matter what scale I give it I can't zoom in past a certain point.

If I export an animated ORBX I can open the orbx node see the render target and see the thin lens node from the .abc file going into it.

Can I adjust that camera apeture etc? I can't find it in the outliner. I can zoom in and out but am not sure where it "exist"

Thanks

GREAT PLUG-IN a standard for the rest.

What's your goal? Exporting whole animations or just single frame? You can use "Edit in standalone" for single frames.
Also you can create new camera and connect to render target.

Thanks for prompt response Aoktar : >)

Goal is single frame and to learn about features the Cinema plugin has to offer and to understand whats going on behind the scenes in these different export features.

Ideally I could do the whole project in Cinema... but I like this feature as I often find myself in the Stand Alone as I like the simple node set_up (and I learn't Octane in the SO so for quick bang out a job I go back there)

The reason why I generated the question is mainly because when I exported a stand alone scene I could not get the same camera view as in Cinema. So I explored the ORBX options and was successful with the Animated ORBX. But as I mentioned could not find the camera to alter it.

Edit in Standalone opens The Octane App but no scene loads etc.

Thanks Again.

I am in Mac OSX running Cinema RD 14 and stand alone 2.24.2 if that helps.

Hi Peter,
you can export your camera in Alembic format from C4D and use the attached scripted graph to convert an ABC camera node into a Thin-lens node:
