HI!
When I create a new displacement node and start render, it often happens that PC may stop completely. Even the cursor is blocked. Low render priority.
There is no way to recover. ....It seems as if no longer able to manage calculation data.
Only the POWER button. :cry: ...How can I prevent this?

Hi Syd_86,
have you tried to run the Standalone installer at least once which will set the TdrDelay to 10s. After the installation you have to reboot Windows.
If yes, you can manually bring it to 30s in order to give more time at the GPU to process the displacement.

Hi, you can use Driver tool to add/change settings or do it in Windows registry (Link at bottom of page).
Standalone installation add registry key automatic.

Sorry for the late reply,
I downloaded NVIDIA Nsight Visual Studio Edition_Win64_5.0.0.15294.msi Intall, reboot.
I open Nvidia Nsight Options, i changed the value from 10 to 30, reboot.
I open again Nvidia Nsight Optionsand the value is 10.
What is wrong ?

As I wrote, when I create a displacement node crashes all. What do I have to do? I can not use the material displacement.

I tried no problem. The error may be due to the use of an RGB image instead of grayscale? ...to generate displacement.
