Help: On new install of Octane Cinema hangs at plugin initia

Just bought Octane and installed the main system fine, but after doing that every time I try to start C4D it hangs during plugin initialization.
If I take the Octane plugin out of the plugin folder, starts as normal....any ideas?

I have lot of ideas but what about to give more detailed information about C4D, plugin, drivers, gpu hardware, standalone?
I'm moving to C4D forum from unrelated section.

In the plugin folder are plugin for R15, R16 & R17. Be sure to delete all but the version you're using if you haven't done that yet.

Yes using C4D R17 and only that plug, plus all the other stuff in the Octane C4D plugin folder except other version plugs on a MacBook Pro with NVidia GPU...at work now so can't give specifics

Do you have min. 17.048 or 16.50?
Do you have a latest whql driver?
Can you render somethings on Standalone, do you have compatible gpu?
Can you delete all plugins else of octane and try?
Where is your bugreport.zip to see what's crashing?

Running 17.048
On a Macbook Pro with 10.11.1
Can not generate a proper bug report because the system just hangs during Plugin Initialization.....have to force quit
Standalone runs fine as well as the demo did
Will try redownloading but I am at a loss on this

what's cuda version?
Which version do you try? Also can you try some different or older versions of plugin?

Running CUDA 7.5.25 driver for MAC
Tried the last 4 versions all with the same result....hangs the app at plugin initialization

It only gets worse.....tried to get back to the beginning uninstalled all Octane app and plugin
Upon reinstall now the stand alone hangs at startup intro screen
C4D will not start and hangs at plugin initialization on the 4 last versions of the plug

weird, the CUDA drivers are up to date and all seems in the right place
Please, could you try to do the Apple Diagnostics in order to exclude any hardware issues?
