Hi Guys!

I´m building a new computer to render with Octane+C4D and compose the output in AE, with heavy emphasis in gpu power for Octane.
What do you think overall? your opinions are more than welcome.
Beside the 4 GTX 980 TI I have an extra SSD m2 for the AE cache and 128 GB ram. Will Octane benefit at all from an extra SSD for cache? And from the 128 GB Ram??
Do you think cooling can be an issue with the current setup?

Thanks a lot in advance! :)

Hi HerrGarcia,
I'm not an hw expert, but I guess that the model of the cards does not fit to be packed in a 4x solution, better to look to the hybrid or even better, to water cooled solutions, cooling is crucial with 4x GTX
If you go with three, you can leave a gap between the cards and the things are a bit better. Here is a long discussion about multi GPU systems:

The 128 GB of RAM will surely come in handy for huge projects with high poly count ;)
