Hello !
So I'm currently working on a project with an imported rigged model, but for some reason, Octane has some trouble handling it and gives a render failure pretty much all the time. I've tried on different machines with different versions so I'm pretty sure it's not related to the computer or the software; I have tried to tear down the model piece by piece to see where the problem was coming from.
I checked the textures, removed all parametric & subdivision objects, removed the rig-constraints-weightmaps, and I'm out of idea on what might be causing these render failures.
If anyone want to have a look I have attached the model, which is an amazing fully rigged Astronaut made and provided by Max Grueter (grueter.com).

Thanks,
F.P.

It seems ok on me. Which is your version? Did you tried on latest version?

When looking at the logs, it seems that there is a lot going on (mainly "error 702 on device 0: The device kernel took too long to execute.")
I've attached the log files for the two computers (Macpro using 3.00 alpha full version and Mbp using 2.16 demo)

Thanks, F.P.

I think it's a error which is similar to TDR errors in drivers. Suppose renderer generates an error due unresponsive calculation it's propably caused by displacement mapping.

That might be the case; I removed all the materials and starting re-doing them by myself one by one and now everything seems to be working normal, no more error in the logs.
Thanks for the heads-up !
