The second one reminds me of a Hero scene out of an old DC comic. :shock:

It reminds me the abstract colors that we could get with early versions of Blender (around 2.32) when we stopped the render before it was completed.

On the image below, you can see on the left the finished render, and on the right side, an image colorized with an uncomplete render :

I like leaving the image undercooked a bit for that abstract/impressionistic look:
