We're launching through backburner to a networked machine. The machine, our 'octane box' has two titan Zs, so it shows as 4 titans.
Sometimes when we remote in to check a job, it shows only 1 gpu as fully loaded and the other 3 are sitting idly. Why is this? Is it a bug?

Thanks!

Hi,

I suppose when you work you use one for system/display one for live update/render.
Be sure before exit from your scene to turn ALL GPUs ON ;)
Funny, I found that this is important!
No matter if you set all gpus on (or any other GPUs config) and send scene to render .
It will use configuration which you left last time exit from max! (and it is usually not all GPUs on)
Maybe there is some other way but I found this works for me.

Hope this will help.

Still an issue. Even jobs sent over the backburner network to the same machine that launched it sometimes only render on one GPU. So far two of our machines do this.
