How can I get background images in LW 3D to be effected by Octane vignette settings and have the glare/bloom coming from a 3D object in the scene to show on the image?

This is a major pain.

I believe you must model the backplate and project the bg-image to that.

Thanks @Builtdown ... been there & done that. Results are poor because of how all other lighting within a given scene effects the Octane backplate "material".

What I'm after is for Octane not to mess with anything regards the BG-image, just display it "as is" ... hence the original question.

... I mean, maybe there is a magic button in Octane I haven't found yet which will allow for this ...

The LW plugin compositing feature is done by the plugin after the render using the alpha channel information, so the background can't be affected by the Octane postprocessing functions. You could try to export the post-processing pass and use an external compositing package to mix the background, the beauty pass and the post effects.
