Hi i think octane is missing some key features that im used in vray and can really help with the shading:
- A proper curvature procedural map
- Map slots in Dirt so we can distort it with textures or noise (like radius in vray)
- Mixing multiple textures/maps + blending modes (like composite in vray)
- Mixing multiple materials same way
Curvature map, Mix multiple mats/textures etc.

I would also like a curvature map + Tri-planar mapping.

at this time I do not think it could be possible.
It might be possible when Octane will have full support for OpenSL.
anyway I will try to understand about some workarounds.
around exculde / include mode in lights, I hypothesize will not be possible.
the current state, If requests you make are not possible in SA,
will not be possible in Octane 3dsMax plugin too.
The updates are made in the SDK and then taken into plugins.
Therefore, no developer plugins is able to make changes involve modifications to the source code.
