Too bad I never believed in Kickstarter, so I skipped and waited for the DK2.

indeed, that was generous..who would even thought. As I understand what they releasing now will be compatible with DK2, but DK1 users would be left..- Cool that they chose this way - comunity or sure is going to love them even more =)
