Teach me something, I am sure there is a good reason, just don't know.
1) Why is there no export option to .jpg file in the standalone
2) Does the daylight 'floor' below the horizon line have to be white? Is there a purpose/need for this; why cant you make it disappear or change to some other color within the Daylight setting?

Thx!

Yesssss... I wanted to post that jpg thing for a long time, bit never did...
...option to save to jpg would be wonderful...
Kind of compression will be very important though for balance of good quality and not too big file size
(Doing a lot of conversion now from png to jpg when having non transparancy for backgrounds)

1) The only reason I can think of is that JPEG is lossy, PNG is not so you don't lose image fidelity. Plus it's easy to convert PNG to JPEG with any paint/image/editing software.

2) I think that it's white because of atmospheric scatter, the farther away you get the more whiter towards the horizon it gets. I'm pretty sure you can change the colors for both the sky and the horizon?

Hi,
For the second question you can try this: choose an interior scene with physical sky, switch the kernel to DL-AO, choose the old sky model without white floor below the horizon and see the difference on the ceiling ;)

Thanks! The old daylight model, it seems you don't have the option to change the sky color...That's a feature of only the new one I'm thinking?

Yes, the old sky model doesn't have the option to change the sky or sun color, but what I mean is that if you don't have a neutral floor, the internal ceiling of a room in AO always looks bluish because of the blue floor environment.

An option to change the ground color in the daylight environment would be a further improvement.
Thanks Linvanchene! No better person than you to push an idea into action ;)
