Just started converting this wonderful scene by Bertrand Benoit. http://bertrand-benoit.com/blog/
Still lots of stuff missing or set up wrong (window glass, poufs, lights inside...)
Wanted to see how far you can go without post processing.
He renders the images quite neutral and dark and enhances them later with ArionFX (see raw renders in the link below).
No speed records here; rendered on a single Titan.
I will update this day by day (hopefully).
You can buy the scene over here: http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/max ... ene/877131
Also a great way to see where the material converter fails.
Update1, Next Camera
Would be so nice to have a denoiser to clear out this high frequency noise.
The guys from Altus Denoiser say progress with Otoy is slow.
Hair&Fur only works as geometry? How to control the material of fur?
Turbosmooth Render Iters does not work?
Update 2, Slowly getting there...
Update 3
Update 4, 4k-test; some wrong UV channels, pouf material looks strange, candle more yellow...
Update 5, another 4k-test
Developers, please see V-Ray Converter Request List for current issues:

awesomeness!!! I've been so much moved by His works..& by no surprise..I mean His workflows are straight & simple, but He spends a lot of time for right compositions (choosing angles, lighting) & then material definition is just rare to be found in archiviz..but most of all is simplicity! really looking forward to see progress on this, Rob! keep us updated =)

Hi Rob,
Great conversion, I just saw some things that could improve renders: in original images legs of the chairs are black and glass on table has a litlle bit of greenish color and that metal plate on table is a bit more shiny.
