hello! It looks like the option to calculate animation is missing from the bump (see screenshots attached).
So i can't load an animated texture into bump.
Opacity channel does have "calculate" option available.
Is that a bug?
Thank you!

Who can answer to this?

What do you mean with "bump"? What about bump, opacity channel and calculate button? I'm not sure what you mean exactly!

Hi Ahmet, thanks for asking for further clarification.

In Cinema 4D you can load a JPEG sequence / MOV footage into channels of a material.
For example, I have an animated JPEG sequence of sky clouds and I can load it into diffuse or opacity channels, it works fine and Octane renders clouds moving.
But I can't load that same texture into Bump channel texture, as you see from previous screenshot the button "Calculate" is missing.

"Calculate" is a button that needs to be clicked for Cinema 4D to recognize that the texture I loaded in is an animated sequence and not a static still image.
If you load texture, click on it and select Animation tab - you will see it (see screenshot I attached here as well).

Hope this clarifies. Looking forward to your help

Hi
I don't know why do you use c4d image types. But if you manually set the ranges in "imagetexture", animated sequences will work. Like startframe=0, endframe=100.... in Imagetexture->Animation.
Imagetexture is always better, because gives gamma, mode, transform, projection, etc...

Mov is not directly supported by Octane. It loves the images. But if you're lucky that plugin can recognise the mov file and convert frames to internal images. But i don't advice to use mov files.

If there is still a problem which is about uni-coded characters on the paths, i have fixed this issue on some latest version. I'm not sure which one, but maybe some 2.24.2 test versions.
