So if I install OctaneRender 3.00 Alpha 2, then open Maya and select OctaneRender, is it using Octane 3 engine or still 2?
I saw this video where this guy was in Cinema 4D and rendering in octane 3. How was he doing that unless he had a Cinema 4D OctaneRender 3.00 plugin?

Hi,
currently only few plugins have a v3 test alpha version and in general they are from external developers, C4D is one of them. The internal developers are involved in the v3 development, so there is a bit of expected delay with certain plugins
