Hi all... Trying to install Octane C4D on my new macbook pro running the latest build of R17 and osx 10.10.5.
Nothing shows up in the menus at all when I relaunch C4D after copying to the application level plugin folder and removing all but the r16 build.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
thanks!!

Hi,
no problem here with R17 on 10.11.2 with both stable v2.24.1-R3 and test 2.24.2-5.2.
The test version has a proper R17.bylib file, do you have the same files as in picture in your plugin folder? ciao beppe

Hi, thanks for responding! Where did you get that download? I'm on this page:
https://render.otoy.com/account/downloa ... LL&ver=ALL
and the latest build for Mac didn't have an R17 build at all.

Thanks! I didn't know about that releases thread. I'll go there to find the downloads from now on. I downloaded the "Octane-for-C4D-2.24.2-TEST5.2-Macosx" zip. I have a render going right now, so I'll try loading it as soon as my render is done.

Hey, so I've downloaded that file, and still no luck? are there any known issues with file permissions or anything like that? I've tried changing the folder permissions on the plugins so it's all read/write, but It's not loading at all. in either 16 or 17.
1-You need a cuda driver and cuda compatible gpu.
2-Check Standalone for gpu+driver compatiblity.
3-Need R16.050 or newer.
4-Check Console window for any error.
All that's worded in download notes.

UGH! that was it. This is a new laptop from my company, and I didn't realize it doesn't have NVidia gpu in it. It's got the intel iris pro.
Thanks again for getting back to me on this. I really appreciate the help!!
