Hi,
Just tried to use Place Highlight command with Octane Light in Max 2015 and the normal direction is flipped.
Guessing this is a bug?
Cheers,
Jon

Yes some normal maps are designed for other engines or renderers. It would be good if Octane had the same as the max Normal Bump where you can flip the channels without going to Photoshop.

Hi Jimstar,
Is it straight forward to flip the normal of the Octane light in max (or provide a check box option for this circumstance), just that I use the standard 'place highlight' tool a lot for building up studio scenes.
Using an Illuminated plane is not an option as you can not control visibility like an Octane light.
Look forward to your comment.
Cheers.

Edit......Ok I understand now this section is only for bugs related directly in comparison the Standalone and not its interactivity with Max.
I will move the query to user requests.
