Sounds like a reasonable request - I would like to hear about it too. ^___^

+1 any info would be great. I guess radio silence means a release is imminent? OR miles away.

It's close - baking is worth the wait.I just tried feeding baked scenes back into the viewport and I get noise free diffuse lighting matching the original :)

I will make a post in the next coming days, about the state of development. There are currently multiple developments coming together and making PMC work with the new kernel structure and finishing the film buffer refactoring took longer than anticipated. The good news is that most issues are solved by now. I hope to get a test build out to the plugin devs this week and a public alpha build in the next 1-2 weeks. Apologies for the delay.

It sounds great. From my point of view there's no problems with delay but with the lacks of informations. But i guess you are very busy :). I prefer you take your time to polish Octane instead of to get a premature release ... :)
Thanks for informations.
Best regards.

Is the closed Beta still going to happen? Or you will release it to the public directly?

Hi Marcus,
thanks for the brief update.
Do you have any news about the max GPUs for network rendering? I guess this is not a technical issue but a strategic.
