How do you animate with batch rendering?

Seems like it would be pretty straightforward and yet I am not rendering anything. I know it can be done because I saw it in a tutorial only it was an older version and it the batch render was worded differently...I am not saving pngs...

Do you mean the batch rendering script? You can only use it to render out an animation, you need to create your animations in other software.
