Hello,
I'm currently lighting a jar/fishbowl, and there's lights outside that do most of the lighting and that works great.

However, when I put a light source inside the actual jar/fishbowl, it shows up in the render - even with the Camera Visibilty turned off, and with high Specular Depth values in the Pathtracing Kernel.

When the light is outside of the glass has no problem being invisible, but as soon as it's inside it shows up.

This is being problematic since I've got quite a few lights set up inside, and they're all showing.

The jar/fishbowl geometry has an opening, but itself is a closed volume.

I've attached screencrabs of the issue and the mesh to show what I mean about the geo.

Any idea how to prevent this from happening?

"Camera Visibilty" is for to hide from camera not about for secondary rays as reflections, etc...
Try opacity=0.

Oh cool, for some reason I was thinking that would nullify any light contribution, but it appears that is not the case.

Thanks!

Opacity = 0 changing the look of my scenes.

I'm working on a scene with hundreds of lights, and with a lot of sample rate ratios. maybe it related?

Thanks

Can you put a sample scene which is simple as possible? So we can check what you mean, thanks!
