Hello bonjour,
is there any way to render in cinema some foggy smoke using octane ?
I read things about a volume object, and the use of VBD, but nothing specific for C4D

Arnold can render turbulence Fd quite well, but Arnold so sooooo much slow tha Octane !!

Thank and have a nice sunday

In 2.x you can use specular material with medium texture to do some foggy effects. It's a bit tricky and limited without density or texture features.
In 3.x, we will have a native openvdb support. I'm working on to integrate. So will be possible to render TFD smoke, fires, etc.. in C4D. Speed is very well. You can see the volumetric in Online OR3 demo. Just look top of this page.
