we have encased objects in glass buildings, and I'm trying to get object id`s for the objects.

I disabled the buildings, and got the object id`s, problem is I have a refraction index, and they don't match

If I leave the buildings, then the object Id is not showing up anymore

thoughts? thanks!

The object id info channel doesn't work like this. It will display the first object it hits. It doesn't take refraction into account.

cheers,
Thomas

You can't. You would have to hide the glass.
