Hi,

i asked myself, if there is a possibility to save my rendering at certain samples or after specific timeframes? For example in the Metaversecontest, i lived in fear for over a day, my system might shut down and there is nothing left, just because i wanted the image little longer to calculate, even if the achived results are already quite good.

I know, that it is possible in C4d to rightclick in the pictureviewer to save while rendering, but i tried this exactly one time with one of the large VRscenes and it crashed. And after over 24 hours of rendering i was left with nothing, just because i wanted to save something. So i got what i wanted to prevent.... :?

So, something automated and stable would be great. BTW: It works fine, with smaller renderings! So in general no problem!

Thank you,

Chriz

Thanks djart,

Seems to be pretty close to what i meant.

i meant something like autosave after i.e. 2000 samples while rendering on to the set max. of 4000 samples. I guess Octane 3 will be a great solution for this.

Thanks again!
