Render window not same as viewport

Hi!

Im using Maya 2016 and windows 10 and i have a problem that my imported .fbx looks great in the viewprt but when i look at it in the render window there a lot of artifacts. Do you know what the problem might be?

I post two images to show what i mean.

Hi,
Try triangulating your mesh in Maya before rendering. Octane doesn't deal with N-gons and concave faces well

If you don't like having all triangulated meshes because the sometimes mess with deformations you could use the Polygons>Clean-up command and only select faces with more than 4 sides.
