Hi,

I added a second GTX780, now I have an Asus GTX 780 strix 6GB and a Gainward GeForce GTX 780 Phantom 6GB. I would like to use the Asus as main card, but machine is booting with the Gainward. How can I get the ASUS as main card?

Ciao,
Micha

Don't understand !?
The PC always boot with the first PCIe if populated. And the display could be plug either on the first or second card. if plug on the second card, windows will use it as main I think.
And what affect octane ? You could select the card you use.

No, it's not Octane related., it's really OT.

I connected the display to the ASUS, but it stay black. Only the Gainward works during booting.

Is it necessary to change the card places? I don't want to change the places of the cards, because the space and the cooling.

itou is right - first slot (closest to a cpu is the boot slot for gpu) and always connect multiple monitors (if you have any) to one gpu only.

Do you have heat issues with these non-reference cards? What is the distance between them?

Only a graphic issue with my modeler Rhino3D and so I would prefer the ASUS as display card. At the moment the semi passive card is at the bottom place, I thought so it will stay longer in stix passive mode. Looks like I need to place it at the upper place. Between the cards is a gap of 3cm.

Both cards are working well with Octane.

Swap them. It's not a big deal.
