What we see again?
What other options will be added?
You can preview the texture grab editor, and in local DB?
You will can zoom folder, instead of the endless list. A simple display folders would be easier to see. Or at least the possibility of change in large icons, small, medium, for details. In windows-CTRL + scroll. In that same space may be displayed 14 thumbnails of a material, but now you see them 5. Workspace lost.
In Octane 3 Demo not seen still a gizmo. If it is added in demo when we see it? ... In OR 3.99 Release    ? ... How do I move the clouds ... and scatter ... with placements?
I can change color gui?
There will be a library of materials more substantial? even with the emitter ready to illuminate the scene?
Use a wizard to create materials would not hurt.
I can hide, lock and re-arrenge only selected nodes?
Displacement material will use the generators?
You can change the icons for the kernel and imager? .. They are too similar during the workflow faster.
Sorry for many questions, but I can not open 15 Topic..about.
..uhm.....
All for today!!
Thanks!

Transformation gizmos and detachable windows should be added in v3, but yeah there are no signs of it in the current demo.
Goldorak mentioned that the demo is already obsolete, and the current version they have, has much more stuff in it, but I don't know about the UI.
I agree that the UI can be improved a lot. These are features I'm waiting since Octane v1...

Show a screenshot would not be bad, if the demo is obsolete.
They are doing nothing ..... Joke!
They will change only the number, the boot image and we could do the clouds.
Octane 3 should move away from much of the second, because they lack feauture many basic functions, options gui .... missing the entire toolbar selection, navigation etc.

WE WANT A SCREENSHOT OF OCTANE 3!

Many UX changes in SE are on the 3.x roadmap, but not going into the first alpha release beyond the minimum needed to support the major features being added to the core engine.

So ... GIZMO = 4.1 release
Move, scale, rotate ... are the minimum needed?
Do not you understand that it is really a XXXX. Export all tens of times, because I forgot to assign a material? Or a geometry has an incorrect position. I have folders with tens of OBJ files! ..
My files are named: remove, try one, try two, three test-final, definitive test four-delete, delete-five final, definitive scene, definitive scene two......etc ..for one scene.
Do you want to make a screenshot?

Transforms (moving/rotating/scaling) are available in the Placement node.

Further, we are adding script nodes with deeper control in v3 that can handle custom UI extensions. We have used this internally to create complex things like an OpenGL shadow viewport for example.

ok! ... what good is?
In one scene, how do I move a single geometry ?? If I have a chair that wills? .... I export obj file. Good!
Suppose the scene octane is already all perfect !! .... you earn with rendering speed .... but time is lost to reassign the materials a hundred times!
Do not say that there is a node placement ... barely need for instances.
I do export 60 obj file for a single scene? All I connect a node placement? In this way it can work placement node ... the same goes for the instances.
OK! I got it!
It will not be possible to move geometries! Indeed correct me, you can not select a geometry that is part of the same node.
I'll stay without clouds.

All graphics software allows editing, selection, and placement of an item.
Octane will not do! .. Why control basis as this is left out ??? :o
All they have to buy the plug-in?

Yeah, but what everyone wants are gizmos like Maya/Max/Modo/3DCoat/any 3d app, etc... It's a pain to move objects using the sliders, and also please add a local transformation option, I want to be able to rotate the objects from their local center, not the world center...
