Hey Paul,
I'm trying to set up a workflow where we model and texture using Octane in modo, then send the models to Maya for actual scene assembly and animation.
I thought it would be as simple as saving the textures in modo to the localDb and then loading them into Maya, but Maya refuses to bring them in.
I can load the exported textures into standalone, where they show up as a black box, rather than a node tree.
Am I missing something? Or is this an issue of lack of parity between the modo and Maya implementations?
Thanks,
Damian
Getting modo Octane textures to Maya

Hi Damian
It's a bit manual - but you can type "octane.command showNodeGraph" and copy individual or groups of Octane materials into the Windows clipboard and paste them into Octane Standalone.
You can also export the scene to ORBX, then open it in Octane Standalone to pull out all the materials.

You need to talk to JimStar to work out the problem there. They are being exported from Modo in a format that Octane Standalone will import - so Maya should import them too.I thought it would be as simple as saving the textures in modo to the localDb and then loading them into Maya, but Maya refuses to bring them in.
Double-click the black node box and the sub-graph will open showing all the nodes.I can load the exported textures into standalone, where they show up as a black box, rather than a node tree.
