Any reason "must upgrade" to use LW2015 over 11?

Any speed or dramatic advantages of LW2015 over V11?

Juanjo or someone else can confirm/deny/tell details but I remember some newer features are not available in LW11 with Octane 
But in general, LW is one of the rare products that always is recommended to upgrade or update, it never fails to be pleasant
At least for me new features in LW2015 alone were huge benefit and there are always a long list of improvements. And one very important thing is that with LW2015 there is new PDF manual so no need to browse through numerous 'addendums' anymore
And there is Siggraph sale 10-17 Aug (don't know if that applies to upgrades though) so go for it fast!

The LightWave 2015 plugin supports hair rendering using the Layout FiberFX tool. This is a feature not supported by the LightWave 11.6 plugin.
Anyway I agree, 2015 has some useful new features and a lot of bugs fixed. It works really fine. I also recommend to upgrade it
