otoy AMI with g2.8xlarge

I set up an AMI to render with octane. Now that I finished the process I was thinking would be awesome if I could use the g2.8xlarge instance... But the octane AMI I started from doesnt allow it. Is there a way to change that? Or is it possible to even use g2.8xlarge or are they incompatible with Octane.
