Hi,

I'm testing Octane for Rhino and I'm working on my current Rhino|Vray projects. At my current Vray project, if I select an object and go to the material properties page, than I get a warning and than Rhino crashes. Can I disable Octane for this project file?

Attached two screenshots.

Ciao,
Micha

Hi - is Rhino crashing (to the desktop), or simply displaying an exception?

Hi Paul,

today I can't replicate the error, maybe caused a restart of my machine. If I see it again I try to send you a bug report.

Yesterday, as the crash was there, I disabled the Octane plugin and thought I could manual load it, if needed. But if I try to load it at the plugin manager than I get the Rhino command line message: Blocking plug-in OctaneRenderForRhino. Is it right?

Did you unblock the plugin as per https://docs.otoy.com/#46Installation%2 ... Rhinoceros?

No, Octane was working on my machine and I disabled the plugin at the plugin manager, so that I can use VfR without crashes by Octane. I restarted Rhino. For using Octane I opened the plugin manager and tried per RMB click on Octane to load the plugin. Here it was blocked.

What you mean by "blocked". Is there an error message? (sorry - I haven't seen this issue before).

At the command line is written: Blocking plug-in OctaneRenderForRhino.

Can you post a screenshot of the Rhino Options->Plugins screen pls showing the OctaneRenderForRhino plugin? Have you tried ticking the Enabled checkbox for the plugin?

EDIT: The same problem was reported with Neon at http://v5.rhino3d.com/group/neon/forum/ ... up%3A23026
