Is there a Gradient Texture create a Gradient Material to the role?

Material is not only a natural boundary to create a gradient map, I can not want to make this a lack of ability

It does not operate Gradient Texture using the Normal Map?

Currently the gradient node only works with texture inputs. Gradients of materials are not supported yet. You can mix materials using masks with the material mixer node.
