Hi, I've noticed this annoying issue when I use a combination of volume fog with opacity textures (applied to alpha cards)

As you can see, the polygon with the opacity texture is clearly visible through the volume fog.
Any solution/workaround?

Hi, I think a similar issue was solved a few days ago (probably on its way for the next release), but I'm not sure this is exactly the same. What are your kernel settings for alpha shadows, alpha channel and keep environment?

I tried all kernels, and played around with all possible settings, but nothing helps. It's a bug, I think. :(
Can you link the thread where this was discussed few days ago?

Sorry - my mistake, the issue I mentioned was actually not in the stable releases.

edit: have reproduced the problem, will provide an update asap.

As a possible workaround, try to add a float to transmission on the material and set it to zero - let me know if this works

Which material? The alpha card one? Or the fog volume one?

Also, I can't plug a float value directly into the Transmission node, Octane doesn't allow me to do it... :?

Try the alpha card one. I meant to say greyscale color texture, not float sorry
