Hey Juan,

I noticed in the latest build (2.23.2.6) I no longer have the memory leaks, but the geometry is no longer being re-freshed between frames. So it looks like its uploading someting to the GPU, but the geo is static for all my frames rendering only the first (from what I could tell) frame geo.

Right now, this is a showstopper and I'll have to roll back to the earlier build.

Again, I'd send you my scene but I'm NDA'd up to my ears.

Rendering in "full reload" mode? ... What kind of animation do you have (transformations, deformations, simulations ...)?

Let me know what kind of scene are you rendering, and your ROP render settings (update or reload mode, and what flags do you have enabled) to try to reproduce the problem here.

This was working in the last build I've used.
I'm rendering "full scene reload", but I've tried the update one too. but neither actually updates the geo. The ROP doesn't have any flags set besides the default one and the "full scene reload" set. Its pretty much out of the box.

The cache is an alembic geo, deforming and changing topology, but its being converted to houdini geo upon import to suppoert octane. As said, this was working in the previous build so nothing have changed here.

Ok. Thanks, I am going to make some tests here to try to reproduce the problem.

Sorry. I am testing the plugin in H14.0.361 in both Windows and Linux with some alembic geo (with cached deformations) and all works fine so far :(

I am going to need a test scene with the this problem to find the bug. The problem can be something in the scene configuration, the alembic or convert nodes, etc. I know that you can't send your production scenes, but could be possible to get any kind of simple scene with this problem to test it here?

I can strip out the cache files and sensitive data and ship it to you later today.

Thanks. I need something to reproduce the problem, without a test scene I can't fix the issue ;)

I also need to know your Houdini version. Are you sure that you are using the plugin version that match your Houdini version?

Hi,
