I have had this happen in the last couple of projects now. All of a sudden Octane just stops rendering my meshes that are Subd... But to fix it, all I have to do is select them all, unsubd them then subd them again and they will appear. Its a real pain. I thought it was a fluke with the first project I did but now I am on my 3rd one and its doing it again. Let me know if you want the scene file.

Modo 801 Sp4

Plugin is the latest version. 2.23.2.80

Thanks!

I have see this before - and it appeared to be that Modo had bugged and was not providing the plugin with the subd vertices, even after restarting Modo, however I cannot reproduce the issue now.

Does just refreshing the scene fix it too?

Yes, if you could send me a scene where the subd meshes are not rendering, that would be great.

Thanks

Yeah I tried restarting modo and it doesn't fix it. Refreshing the scene doesn't fix it. You have to go to all the subd meshes and unsubd then subd them again. I will send you the file sometime this afternoon.

Thanks!

It is working now. I had to delete the meshes and just paste them to new meshes. I think it is more of a modo bug that gets skipped in the modo engine compared to Octane where it picks up the problem. I will keep my eyes peeled though if something else comes about and send it right away.

I agree - it looks like a Modo bug, and difficult to catch. I will keep on the lookout.
