OcDs stopped rendering last night. The full error is: "3 render engine failures within a minute - giving up! (Critical) You should now save your work and restart DAZ Studio! If this error persists the GPU driver may have crashed!"
This message appears after restarting Daz and after reboot as well. It comes up for all scenes (empty or single objects as well.) I reinstalled OcDS and stand alone octane (I'd like to be able to tell you if the stand alone works, but I've never used it and wasn't sure how to get it to work.) There are no nvidia diagnostics that I could find, but games and both Daz studio render engines (3DL and Iray) both work. I have dual Geforce GTX Titan Z's, both are listed and checked in the OcDS options window.
Any help?
Thanks!
Update:
Used the regedit test from other posts: inreased value from 10 to 30(delay value.) Error just took longer to get. :(

First ... tell everyone what versions of Operating System, Daz and Octane Plugin you are using. Is the plugin licensed? Did you adjust any preferences for the plugin?

Lastly... just load a basic character and see if it renders. i.e. Stock Genesis 1

FYI, I occasionally get that error, but I'm goofing around pretty heavily. adding deleting, restoring deleted models, etc. After hours of that, I've had an error.

Thanks for the reply!
Operating System is Windows 7 pro sp1
Daz and Octane a re latest and greatest (I think...):
Daz 4.8.0.59 Pro 64
Octane plugin V2.2 R2.23 Build 4850 (licensed as I think it says after my name...)
Stock Genesis gives same error (as does empty scene and a scene that contains only a non-textured primitive.)
I haven't been playing with program settings other than using HDRI light sources (haven't loaded one since the problems started.)
I've rebooted at least a dozen times, restarted daz, I don't know how many times, tried changing card settings in nvidia control panel, tried the regedit change from other support postings, reinstalled both octane plugin and stand alone, ran the minor diagnostics that are in the octane directory and that I could find (which are mainly just monitors) and they haven't seemed to lead to any smoking gun.
The error in the message is CUDA Error 719 on device 0. This gives a lot of hits on the board, but so far in weeding through them I haven't found a situation match yet... they seem to mostly be "scene" related...
Thanks!

While it may not necessarily be helpful, I didn't see it listed in your troubleshooting. Have you tried updating or reinstalling your video card drivers (possibly rolling back a minor revision or two, for stability. It's been known to be needed occasionally)? I know, Daz rarely gives useful advice in its error messages, but your driver install may be bad somehow, and it never hurts to check. Never had that specific issue before, personally, but figured I'd throw it out there.

Oddly enough, I got a work-around... if I select ONLY my second card in preferences, The render goes off without a hitch. I still might roll back the driver (last update was about 8 days ago.)Support for dual cards doesn't exactly have a sterling record... Daz crashes aren't all that uncommon (at least for me) but this was the first Octane specific problem I've had. Could be mem error or other problem from the card itself, I can't find a diagnostic to run on it. There was nothing brand new... it just failed at about 1 am yesterday... (after a Daz crash...)
Thanks for the Help - after I get a render fix in (gosh 24 hours... I'm getting the shakes :) ) I'm gunna see how hard it is to roll it back a version...

What nVidia Device Driver rev are you using? Is it the latest? Do you have the latest chipset drivers for your mother board as well?

Lastly... don't do anything with HDRI. Actually I seem to recall a while back that there were issues with big HDRI files.

Just load and view with the default environment (sun). Only do this until you know what is going on.

You don't have SLI enabled do you? That can give weird behavior.
