Hi.

I'm very new in using the DAZ-Plugin and so I have some issues in DAZ/Octane (Plugin Ver.: 2.2 R 2.23)

I can load the plugin and open the viewport but whenever I change a material within DAZ-Studio Octane doesn't refresh the textures although I've checked it in the settings of the plugin.
Sometimes when I change the materials in DAZ Octane seems to load the new textures (there's a small window showing the update-process) but when I open the viewport all the old materials are still there - or sometimes Octane has lost some textures (eyes, lashes and so on) - in most cases the render is all white.

I'm using the redspec-TGX shaders and with these for me it's impossible to save a scene containing the redspec-shaders; Octane simply doesn't remember the settings and it's very frustrating to set up the materials every time I want to load a scene.

Any help would be appreciated.

Last time you worked on your file did DAZ studio crash? Even if you saved beforehand.
Does this happen with all your saves?
Do you get a duplicate ID error when you load your file?

You can check this post

It covers a lot of the issues the OcDS plugin currently has, plus has some workarounds. Many are material conversion related posts. Many are rants, but the rants give more clarity on what the plugin can and can't currently do.

I assume you're using the latest version of OcDS and DS? If you have materials automatically updating in OcDS then switch this off and manually update materials in the materials pane. Right click the object in the materials pane and then auto load DS materials. When you load the RedSpec shaders you then need to manually apply them to your model as instructed. You can import the RS shaders into your scene if you haven't started a project with them. If you've done all this and are still having problems please try to replicate the steps that lead to the problem happening and report back. That way we can offer more specific help.

Concerning eyelashes you may need to load a transparency map into the OcDS eyelash material depending on which character you're using. Some characters load with the transparency map and others don't with the latest version of OcDS.

There are some specific problems with material conversion in OcDS 2.2 - a solution can be found here:
