Hi
I have had this problem since I first bought Octane. I have been trying to work around it. But now I find it a little awkward and would appreciate a solution. It's not my machine as I have tried it on a number of machines in our office. I have also tried every iteration of release and versions R15 and R16 of C4d.
The problem is when the Octane window is active the separate screens in C4d won't refresh when on a multiple screen mode. i.e. The 4 view window layout.
I am currently running in on a MacPro 12 core 3.46Ghz - 64Gb ram - with a 12GB Titan X card.
Best regards
David

Have you tried to use 2.23.2(RC4)? I can't understand your problem. Can you figure it better with some screenshot or video capture?

I am having similar issue after updating to 2.23.2 (RC4) and updating my CUDA driver to a 6.5 version (tried 7.0.36 with similar issues and backed down to 6.5.51).
I have recorded a simple C4D session showing the issue:
https://vimeo.com/131984481
I realize this is most likely a CUDA driver issue and not the plugin "per se" but was wondering if anyone else had seen this and also if anyone is running Mac Pro 4,1 and what driver's they have found works best for 2.23.2(RC4).
Everything worked fine with previous 2.12.1 plugin version and I believe a 6.0.37 CUDA driver ...
The video shows:
C4D running fine
Start LV and it's still running fine
Send scene data over
in 4 pane view, after a few seconds, all but lower right view "lock up" and there is weird "flashing" in that window
when I go back to single view, moving objects in window or zoom/pan seems to work fine
when in two pane mode, one window locks up and other is responsive ... similar with 3 pane ... basically after a second or two interacting all but one window locks up
System:
MAC PRO 4,1 OS 10.9.4
Octane standalone 2.23.2
C4D R15
C4D plugin 2.23.2 (RC4)
GPU Nvidia 780 6GB
CUDA Driver Version: 6.5.51
GPU Driver Version 8.27.26 (334.01.02f02)

Hi DigitalOven,
Thanks for video. I see that first time. We haven't this behaviour on Windows machines also on my hackintosh system. Having on Macosx causes to think me about a driver issue of OSX. I can't see a reason in plugin side also even for Octane. Maybe a bug on driver for Cuda+Opengl usages.

Yes, I assumed it was driver issue .. just hoping someone on the forum using a Mac Pro and 2.23.2 might have a suggestion for which driver to use

Wait! I might be wrong. When this appeared first time? after RC4?DigitalOven wrote:Yes, I assumed it was driver issue .. just hoping someone on the forum using a Mac Pro and 2.23.2 might have a suggestion for which driver to use

Yes, it just started happening when I updated _both_ the plugin and the Cuda driver (since I read it needed 6.5)
I had Plugin 2.12.1 and Cuda running well (I believe I was running 6.0.37 but hadn't written it down).
I installed 2.23.2(RC4) and updated Cuda to 6.5.51
First time I opened C4D I noticed this issue.

I catched it. I'll check also older versions to find when it began. sorry for that.

That would be awesome ... as I mentioned, I had not updated since 2.12.1 (too many projects running)
I realize issues like this are inevitable with so many potential combinations of OS, driver and versions but great to hear there may be fix.
and thanks for your great plugin and great support for the community .

You're welcome. Thanks for your appreciation. So I'll be releasing a new update but can hold until fixed. Or may release a just Windows version and later release an Osx version.DigitalOven wrote:That would be awesome ... as I mentioned, I had not updated since 2.12.1 (too many projects running)
