Hi,
First of all, I posted a similar message to an old thread of mines, but i think it's not at the right place (WIP)... Aoktar, I'm sorry for that, feel free to remove it from the wrong place)
Once again I'm experiencing problems, facing noise with blackbody emitter...
For this animation I'm using Xparticles xpElextrix to generate splines, then I use them with a sweep nurbs in order to put a blackbody emitter on the whole thing.
Then I put a glass sphere over it. Everything is ok, except for the ground, which is awfully noisy. I can't figure how to resolve that.
I'm also using a HDR Light environnement.
Any clue ?
Thanks in advance !
blackbody emitter and noise...

Just wondering if anyone has been able to figure this out a bit more...I went through all the posted tutorials but can't seem to reduce the noise from mesh emitters or even lights in general without increasing the Max Samples dramatically and even then there is always some.
Totally agree with Imperialpost. It seems that this noise or fireflies issue with the blackbody emitter is installed with the latest Octane releases (V3?) . For example: I have scenes coming from the pack "AMinteriors 4 Octane Render" - whose settings DL /Octane 2 gave good results. But I see now with Octane3, those ones render pictures completely burned! I observe the same pb. with the example scene named "bulb" from lib.Thinking Particule Octane Studio kit 1.3. Is anybody could say us clearly what could we do to update presets of old scenes (V2) with blackbody emitter lights & DL? Obviously, the tutorial. "rendering and optimization settings with Octane Render for Cinema 4D, " seems outdated because done for Octane 2.2... For me, now it is a headache with the last releases of Octane to render clean pictures (ie without fireflies) for interiors archviz with blackbody emitter lights and the DL engine.imperialpost wrote:Just wondering if anyone has been able to figure this out a bit more...I went through all the posted tutorials but can't seem to reduce the noise from mesh emitters or even lights in general without increasing the Max Samples dramatically and even then there is always some.
