Hi everyone, I'll go straigh to the problem. I am using Octane Render C4D plugin v2.32.2 rc2 with Cinema 4D R16.050 as it's recommended on the release note of that Octane version. I have GTX 970 which I normally use to render stuff. The problem appears in one animation, starting from the first frame the render goes ok, but when it comes to a certain frame (always the same one) it freezes then the screen turns black, a Nvidia driver error appears and that's all, the render stops, I tried maing the scene to have less polygons but the same happens anyway. I tried to render another frame a bit further and it works but after some more frames it freezes again, and won't render that another frame either.

This is really annoying. I tried uninstalling the latest driver and installing another one that's a bit older (with the new driver I've had some problems too) and it doesn't make any change. So I guess it's some Octane internal error but I have no idea.

Here's the render log of that crash:

I hope someone can help with this because I need to finish that animation this week (I'm on deadline) and it's getting really tense for me :|

Thanks

PS: My system details just in case:
Core i5-4460
Asus H81M-K
RAM 8 GB DDR3
MSI GTX 970
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits

Hmm, annoying. Ok. But i suppose this is not a bug or similar things. For some reason that's reaching and exceeding the gpu limits as you can read in messages: "failed to deallocate device memory". We can't know without testing your scene what or how is occuring.

But that's so weird, the scene is the exact same scene, same polys and everything, only thing that changes from frame to frame is the position of the objects, and it's nothing crazy either. All the same and it shouldn't crash. :?

Yes, are you checking free vram? Or polygon counts, etc..?

There's like 70% of free vram while rendering that scene

I wish I could send you the scene, but it's kind of a confidential work, I can't show it to you :? I'd love to though.
